The PaRC Mission
The mission of the Council is to inform and advise the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, the State Board of Vocational Rehabilitation, the Legislature, and the Governor on the diverse issues affecting employment of people with disabilities.
Notice of Public Meetings and PaRC Upcoming Events
The PaRC will conduct its next Full Council meeting on November 13, 2024. This meeting will be held virtually through Zoom. All PaRC meetings are open to the Public.
The Public is also welcome to join virtual only Committee meetings by computer or phone. Virtual only meetings are held via Zoom and are also available for the public to attend at the following physical site location: UCP/PaRC business office at 55 Utley Dr. Camp Hill, PA 17011. Please contact PaRC staff at parc@parehabilitationcouncil.org or at 717-975-2004 at least three days prior to the meeting to confirm attendance. Accommodations are available upon a timely request to individuals with disabilities. Anyone who would like to make Public Comment prior to the meeting may submit comments to parc@parehabilitationcouncil.org or at (717) 975-2004.
OVR State Board Meetings
The Pennsylvania State Board of Vocational Rehabilitation meets quarterly to hear reports from directors of the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR) as well as the Pennsylvania Rehabilitation Council (PaRC), the Client Assistance Program (CAP), and the Statewide Independent Living Council (SILC).
These meetings are chaired by the Secretary of Labor and Industry. The public is welcome to attend all meetings. For details, please email Cheryl Novak at chenovak@pa.gov.
Partnerships
The PaRC is committed to expanding employment opportunities for Pennsylvanians with disabilities through its partnerships. The members continue to strengthen relationships and collaboration with the PA Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR), the Client Assistance Program (CAP), and other stakeholder organizations in the Commonwealth to avoid duplication of efforts and enhance the number of individuals served.
PaRC 2022-2023 Annual Report
The PaRC is mandated by The Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended by Title IV of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), to submit an annual report to the Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA) and to the Governor on the status of vocational rehabilitation programs operated within the Commonwealth. The report also provides an excellent resource to learn more about the PaRC.
